9:54 am	goodbye dorktech wow...long time no update! lots has happened recently...and i wont even begin to go into detail...anyways, i will be no longer updating this livejournal. im moving on to a new username...sort of a starting over gesture i guess one could say... anyways, if you wish to keep in contact, my new livejournal username is Pytbull. i havent made an entry there yet, but i probably will in the next couple of days. no more dorktech :o) i look forward to seeing you guys on my new friends list :o) (5 poots | poot)

6:12 pm	by the way...ive been working at a new job for about the last month...i seem to have forgotten to update my livejournal..hehe..anyways..its at a no kill animal shelter..i love it..the pay isnt spectacular, the benefits are great though..and the reward of working with and helping homeless creatures..its hard work..i come home hot, sweaty and tired as hell...but i love it...the website is http://www.animalsbenefitclub.com (2 poots | poot)

1:33 am	bought an Xbox tonight...i couldnt resist...we were out and about and heard on the radio that circuit city had them on sale for $199....i just couldnt pass that up...so we went there...we bought...etc...you know the drill...we bought only one game..but i didnt want to go toooooo crazy with buying games...hehe..we bought Star Wars - Obi Wan ....so far the game rocks my socks off...im thrilled.... :o) (1 poots | poot)

3:59 pm	i got a wild hair up my ass today and decided to bleach my hair..hehe..i just got back from the drug store a while ago and here i sit all funny looking with bleach in my hair..i hope it turns out ok...ive always had a problem with getting the bleach in evenly..heh..i also bought some *hot red* hair color to add later if i want to...but if the bleach job turns out okay, i might just be blonde for a few days...hehe..and dammit..i noticed on the red dye package that it isnt permanent...grrr..i hate temporary color...oh well..pfft. my head is tingly. :o) Current Mood: artistic (poot)

10:26 pm	the new job has been going pretty well...the benefits here are much better than discover card...which, obviously im quite happy about..hehe...anyways...the 4 weeks of training were supposed to be 8-5 mon - friday...but NOOOOOO...they had to take a vote on who wanted to change that to 6am-3pm...everyone in the class wanted to do it...so i didnt speak up...so..tomorrow i have to be in at 6...which means i have to get up at 4am and leave the house by 5am...one good thing is there wont be any traffic..lol..sheesh..im NOT looking forward to this....bad thing is...its almost 10:30 and im not tired yet..im going to be a zombie tomorrow. 7:22 pm	jeeze...we took the kids to the vet this morning..what a fiasco..the tech that was assigned to take weights and temperatures must have surely been afraid of ferrets and had never really worked with them...she was about as helpful as a blister....as we tried to take one out of the cage, 2 would pour out...trying to put one back in, 3 more would ooze out...we finally had to set the carrier up vertically so the door was on the top..lol..the stupid tech just stood there, didnt help or say a word...it was hillarious but at the same time frustrating! anyways...got the older three vaccinated with thier third distemper, and the little three with thier seconds..they are due for thier 3rd in three weeks..then back again for thier rabies... thing is..i dont want to take them back there...would there be a problem taking them to a different vet to finish up thier distemper series? this vets office showed massive lack of knoweledge today...as we were paying our bill we asked for curiosity how much they would charge for ADV testing...they had no clue what it even WAS! none of the techs nor the vets! good god...i tried to play it off cool, but i was appalled. shouldnt a good ferret vet at least KNOW of adv? makes me wonder know if they know anything about adrenal gland disease, or any other ferret afflictions....so basically i dont care to ever take my guys there again... i think i want to check out a vet that a local breeder recommended...which is probably the vet that i should have gone with in the first place..its only a mile or so further south than the current vet, so travel shouldnt be a problem...just wondering if its okay to finish up thier shot series at a different place? 2:55 pm	accident :ox well..heres an update of recent events... melissa was in a car accident on thursday morning while on her way to work...an 80 year old man blew past a stop sign and almost t-boned melissas car (she was heading north, with the right away on a major street, and he was headed eastbound on a side street) she had to make a sharp right turn to avoid an even worse crash with him...the car is messed up pretty big..its in storage right now and melissa has a rental car issued by the insurence company..the old man was in a complete daze...when i got to the scene all the paramedics were swarmed around him tying to get him to tell them his name...which apparently was a bit too difficult for the old man...the paramedics just ASKED melissa if she was okay, and that was it, they didnt check her out, or even have her get out of the car to see if she could walk! she was still in the car when i arrived...the old man wanted to be taken to the hospital, which he was, etc etc...he was driving a big old boat..a pontiac bonneville.. anyways..later that morning (all this happend around 7am) melissa didnt feel too good, dizzy, sore, etc...so we went and got my parents advice..and from thier we went to see an accident injury lawyer, who then referred melissa to a doctor...so..off to the doctor we went...she was then scheduled for a CAT scan and all sorts of x rays which we went to do yesterday..results should be back by monday...hopefully everything is okay..but being that we will have to make more than one trip to the doctor, the attorney accepted to take our case..so..yeah..hes going to handle all the pain and suffering type stuff, and the property damage...the old mans insurence company has already accepted the fault for the accident and agreed to fix the car, and pay all the medical bills...its also a possibility that the car will be a total write off, if there is too much structural damage..which very well could be true, the mans front end smashed into the front wheel, knocking it into the engine area, and the wheels were then permanatly locked pointed right...and then the car wouldnt start either...so there could be something cracked in the engine block too...so if the price of the repairs exceeds the value of the car..and being that the car is a 1991, its very possible...hum ho.. melissa is doing better now that the initial shock of it is over..her neck and head are still very sore, having a hard time moving her head...etc.. hopefully this lawyer will bring us enough money to cover everything and a nice lump sum for our pockets... on a brighter note..the rental car is an adorable 4 door midnight blue toyota corolla (sp?) and melissa wont let me drive it! i got to drive it around on thursday but thats only because she was super woozy...pshht.. i wanna drive the purty car! :oP on a ferrety note..the 6 kids are doing fine..shitting enough 50 ferrets though... we have 24 paws running around and 120 toes with lil nails to trim! ahhhhh! 4:07 pm	this is willow :o) this is willow and buffy taking a refreshing water break...cant see buffy that good at all, but she wont stand still long enough to get a pic of her face..lol..ill try again later when they are sleepy :o) willow has such teeny eyes..or so it seems to me...maybe its just my imagination...but i swear they are teeny tiny compared to everyone else. :o) Current Mood: amused (2 poots | poot)

10:16 pm	well...we set out this evening on a quest for bitter apple for fuzzies...all we have been able to find is the stuff for dogs..blah...well...we decided to check out one of the animal kingdoms at a mall out on the eastside of town....well...dammit..they had ferrets! we played and played with them..surely we annoyed the sales guy...but he seemed cool with it...we took the only two little girls and went into the "play room" and frolicked with them for a bit...about a half hour later we decided we would get just one more..but we couldnt decide which girl we liked best....so...guess what? we bought both..DOH. we are now at our fuzzy limit for sure until we get a house...6 ferts and two humans...whew! one of the girls is pretty small and shes a light chocolate sable/mitt combo..and the other, which is a little bigger is more of just a chocolate sable..."buffy" and "willow" are thier names :o) (yes, from buffy the vampire slayer) i will post pix tomorrow :o) Current Mood: drained (2 poots | poot)
2:54 am	NEVER send us to best buy with a credit card..:ox well..we bought a new tv...yay..how exciting, huh? we steered away from daewoo (sp?) this time and sprung for a samsung..we ALSO grabbed a generic dvd player for the tv in the computer room (the tv has broken antenna plugs in the back and can only have a psx or dvd player type thing working on it)...the new dvd player was 64 bucks...WITH a mail in rebate..making it only $49 in the long run..its a mintek...scary huh? hehe we also bought a couple new games...mall tycoon, and tropico..ive been so excited to play tropico ever since it came out..but im not thrilled with it..ive been trying to get into it and i just cant...maybe i just need to read the instructions? lol we also got the dvd boxed set of season one of queer as folk...and thats all the damage we did... ugh..i dont start my new job until the 16th..which means my first payday wont be until the end of the month..well..ive got visa payments and a car payment due in that amount of time..i really DONT want to ask my parents yet again...being unemployed for almost 2 months really sucks...i think ive learned my lesson... 2:12 pm	our tv stopped working today..yes...just stopped working...it wont power on or anything..tried resetting the power strip...nothing..tried plugging it in somewhere else...nothing...all the other stuff around it, ie, satellite box, dvd, etc has power..just not the tv...we had a flicker/surge last night while we were watching tv, i wonder if that could have helped it die? it worked fine this morning...melissa had gotten up early to watch a movie before we had to return it..and she said it just had turned itself off while she napped on the couch..ughhhhh. thats just what we need...another $300 in bills....but shit..we need a tv...and its SUNDAY! queer as folk, buffy, six feet under...guess whos prolly going to best buy today :ox (1 poots | poot)

11:51 pm	well piss. this just puts a topper on everything...i came in to play a game for two before bed and my computer has no sound! it was working fine earlier today...dunno what could be the deal...i checked and double checked all the speaker connections..what is also weird is when i shut the computer down, i dont hear any "popping noises"...usually if i shut the system down before shutting the speakers off they go "pop, woosh" ...which obviously reminds me to turn them off...but now i hear nothing...could my speakers be shot? shit they are only a couple years old..if even that... *pout* any ideas on the subject? 1:42 am	job update: last week i was offered a position at best western international as a reservation sales agent..i accepted..blah blah blah...well..yesterday..i went across town to tempe to hit an interview for jp morgan chase (chase bank) and golly i got hired on the spot..lol..they said my negotiation skills and customer service skills were top notch so they plopped a nice offer out on the table for me..woohoo! i was supposed to start best western tomorrow..but im not going..i was going to call and let them know..but i dont have a number to reach anyone at..oh well...i start the chase job on april 16th..whoooo! benefits from the first day too...WITH domestic partner coverage..kick ass...sure..best western was only about a mile away..and chase is more like 30 miles away...i think its a better job with better benefits...best western was only going to pay 7.85 an hour..plus commision of course..which im sure i could have boosted that up to around 9 an hour..but i dont want to rely on commision..chase pays about the same as discover..a little less than them...but still good...im excited...as much as i thought i hated doing collections...here i find myself MISSING it and excited about getting started again..lol guess i better stick with the career that i seem to kick ass at for now, eh? :o) (2 poots | poot)

1:59 am	as posted on ferretlovers community :: reposted on my own journal for viewing pleasure - *yawn*. we went to my parents house today for the big egg day feast.... came home only to be greeted AT the door by three wild weazohz...apparently we left in such a hurry this afternoon we forgot to put the usual PADLOCK on the front door of the cage...sadie is a real escape artist...my first thought was "oh my god, where is keebler!"...the poor lil guy was curled up in the cage sleeping..i wonder if he ever even figured out the cage was OPEN all day or if he just stayed in and slept while the others ran wild..thank goodness for the fact we left the bedroom doors and bathroom doors shut..whew.. silly weazohz... im redoing my website... 3:00 am	i need help. im doing a new webpage design...im using frames... the frame is over at the left hand side (with the links, etc)....the rest opens in the big main section...problem is..the links are more than a page long and need a scroll bar to scroll down them..but there isnt a scroll bar...how can i get one there? make sense?
